A legend is a story that is made up to explain why something is the way that it is in nature. There are many books in the library that are great legends. For instance, there is one that explains why the turtle's shell is the way that it appears. So, check them out!

I would like to add to my recent comment. I said that legends are made up stories. I want to clarify that comment so no one is confused. In this blog, I asked you to come up with creative legends. In this case, you are making up stories. Legends can sometimes be real, but in this case, we are making them up. I just wanted to make sure that you understood the difference between the creative ones we are making up and other legends. Other legends could sometimes be true, but many are made up. Thanks for reading!
